Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Posters

  1. What are the dimensions for posters in regular (not "Recent Topics") sessions?

Dimensions for posters in all regular sessions are 4' tall and 8' wide (occupying all of a 4' x 8' bulletin board).

  2. What are the dimensions for posters for the "Recent Topics" session?

Dimensions for Recent Topics are half as wide as those for the regular session, or 4' tall and 4' wide (half of a 4' x 8' bulletin board).

  3. How can I attach the poster to the board?

Posters can be attached to the bulletin boards with push pins or velcro. Although limited supplies of push pins will be available on site, many people will be mounting posters at the same time. You may wish to bring your own mounting supplies to avoid possible frustration!

  4. Where and when can I display my poster?

Poster 'set up' time is Monday, 5 August from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. ALL posters will be in the same room at the conference. To look up your poster number, confer with the list of posters for Botany 2002.

  5. When do I need to remove my poster?

Poster 'take down' time is Wednesday, 7 August from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. No one associated with Botany 2002 is responsible for any poster materials remaining after 5:30 pm on Wednesday, August 7.

  6. When do poster presenters need to be available to answer questions?

There will be a single, conference-wide Poster Sessions for all societies scheduled for Tuesday, 6 August from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm (Session 33).

  7. What if I have not yet been assigned a poster number/location?

Recent Topics poster submissions have not been assigned poster numbers, as the deadline for submissions have just closed. When poster numbers are assigned, Jeff Osborn will either be in touch before the meeting with that information or it will be available at the registration area.
